Visit

Please park at Clachtoll Beach car park, signposted from the B869. From here, you can follow the coastal path (signposted ‘walkers welcome’) beyond the car park west and then north to the broch. Another, rougher, route for walkers is south from Stoer beach towards the broch. Stout footwear is recommended.

The road leading to Clachtoll is single-track. Please drive slowly and carefully.

Walking Trails

Historic Assynt has developed five walking trails to help you explore some of the fascinating heritage of Assynt. The trails highlight points of interest along the way, including geology, archaeology, history, wildlife, place names, and they even include a few relevant poems. The five trails so far are at ClachtollCnoc nan EachEadar a’ ChalderKirkton and Ledbeg.
